We went to Lee’s Family Farms yesterday to take kidlet to the Pumpkin Patch. We didn’t get a pumpkin, we’re going to go back and get one probably, but we did have an awesome time. Kidlet who is 2 and incredibly independent does not like to hold hands or sit in her stroller got to run around and just be a kid.
She got to see a baby chick and a calf and the goats. The goats have this awesome shed in their pen that’s painted and says Goatel 6 on it, pretty sweet setup for the goats.
They also offer a variety of fresh fruit, cider, fudge, jam, and her best part pie. Homemade right there, amazing pie. We brought home a pie that was still warm, apple and marion berry. Next time we’re getting pumpkin, we also came home with freshly made pumpkin doughnuts. I’ve never had a doughnut so light and perfect.
They also have apple cider doughnuts and carmel apples along with some incredibly cute Halloween items. They offer hay rides, a corn maze, pony rides, face painting, and other fun activities for the kids.
It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday and we took full advantage of it. Fall is gorgeous here the trees actually turn colors and the leaves fall so different than living in the desert of New Mexico.
Now that Halloween is around the corner it’s time to start planning Christmas gifts, let’s see if I can so something crafty.
